What Is The Black Stone Of Kabah In Mecca?

Black Stone is considered to be taken from the Jannah by Hazrat Jibrael and presented to Hazrat Ibrahim while the construction of Holy Kabah. When Hazrat Ibrahim and his son Hazrat Ismail were building Holy Kabah obeying the order of Allah Almighty and they were asked to keep it in one corner of the Holy Kabah.

Allah ordered Hazrat Ibrahim to build Holy Kabah in the holy city of Makkah. He also kept the Stone in eastern corner of Holy Kabah. Holy Kabah is present in the center of this world and is thought to be the House of Allah because Allah has told the visitors of Holy Kabah as His guests.

Line of Black Stone:

The line that points Black Stone in Holy Kabah is called line of Black Stone and it is the line from where Holy Prophet started Tawaf of Holy Kabah. It is the line where he stopped after completing seven rounds around Kabah. Muslims follow his Sunnah while performing Hajj or Umrah. Tawaf of Kabah always starts from the line of Black Stone and also ends at the line of Black Stone.

Black Stone was originated miraculously and has great importance in front of Muslims because it was taken from Jannah. Due to its origin from Jannah, it has become a worth seeing Stone. It also has been given importance because it was presented to Hazrat Adam and also to Hazrat Ibrahim. Hazrat Ibrahim kept it in eastern corner of Holy Kabah.

Kissing the Black Stone is Sunnah of our Holy Prophet. He kissed it while performing his farewell Hajj. Hazrat Umar, the second caliph of Islam also kissed it because he saw Prophet Muhammad kissing it. He also addressed to Black Stone that you are not more than a stone, I am kissing you because once I saw Holy Prophet kissing you. I would never kiss you if I had never seen Holy Prophet kissing you.

Benefits of kissing the Black Stone:

Kissing the Black Stone is important because kissing it provides forgiveness from sins. It is thought that Black Stone was actually white in colour but due to the sins and kisses of people, it has become black. When a sinner kisses the Black Stone, it becomes black with the sins of a person. It washes away all the sins of a sinner.
