Vice President – Financial Controller – Fund Accounting Background (7+ Years)
An exciting opportunity for a Controller to build and lead the Finance function in a global investment management & technology firm. The incumbent will be driving the financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, and processes in our global corporate structure. As a Senior Controller the one will be collaborating with the executive team to make decisions regarding the company’s financial vision and operations.

Your Employer: A global investment management and technology firm developing proprietary investment products, platforms and solutions for global institutions for accessing opportunities in the digital asset class.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Working closely with our co-founders, general counsel and senior leadership to build & lead a Finance function encompassing accounting, tax, financial reporting, fund administration and audit functions across multiple global entities, that can support our next high scale growth
- Financial & Accounting Policies: Creating and implement accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all lines of businesses while ensuring adherence to statutory and accounting principles and be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Transfer Pricing: Working with external consultants to implement appropriate transfer pricing policies across companies’ subsidiaries.
- Fund Administration: Assisting internal & external legal teams in executing prospective offshore fund structures. Liaison with third-party partners such as custodians, bankers, brokers, fund administrators among others. An understanding & prior experience in fund accounting practices is required.
- Systems & Audit: Building and maintain the accounting and financial systems, drive automation efforts across all sub-verticals within finance and liaise with external/internal auditors to ensure timely and smooth closure of audits.
- Treasury Management & Reporting: Providing strong and timely financial and business analytics decision support to the cofounders. Ensure monthly financial results (P&L, Balance Sheet, Capital monitoring, working capital performance & cash flow).
- Provide key and relevant financial performance information to allow meaningful assessment and challenge of the company performance
- Effectively communicate significant analyses that identify meaningful trends in the crypto & new initiative opportunities across the business
Requirements
- Min. of 7-10 years of experience in accounting/finance with 3+ years of experience as a Controller, or equivalent accounting leadership.
- Past experience of working in finance functions Asset Management/ Fund Accounting preferred. Understanding/ past experience of fund administration function is highly desirable.
- Past experience of working in Audit is a plus but not required.
- Hands on experience in global IFRS accounting standards
- Comfortably working in a global corporate structure or familiarity with transfer pricing models, understanding of cross border tax implications etc.
- Prior experience in working on taxation, compliance, banking, payroll, taxes & vendor payouts in the India & Singapore region
- Advanced knowledge and proven work experience using Xero, NetSuite and/or other SaaS tools
