There are many ways to fix QuickBooks Error code 6000, 80. Follow the below steps to fix this error code:
Method 1: Download the QuickBooks Connection Diagnostic tool and run it
- Visit the page of the QuickBooks Connection Diagnostic Tool
- It can be downloaded to your computer
- Locate the file and run it
- Follow the instructions on screen to complete the installation.
- Start the QuickBooks Connection Diagnostic Tool and wait for it to finish.
After the diagnosis is complete, restart QuickBooks to verify that the error has been fixed.
Method 2: Use QuickBooks Company File Diagnostic Tool
- First, you will need to install the QuickBooks Company File Diagnostic Tool into your system.
- Install the tool and run it
- Wait for the scan to complete.
- To fix any errors identified by the tool, click on the ‘Fix Now’ option.
After the error is fixed, restart QuickBooks Desktop to re-access your Company File. If the error persists, please follow the next steps.
Method 3: Select System Restore
Follow the steps below to restore your system back to its original state.
- Search for in the Start Menu.
- The system restore window is now open.
- Select the restore point.
- You can also select the “scan for affected programmes” option, and click on “Next”.
- To complete the restoration process, select and ‘finish’.
Method 4: Copy the QuickBooks File(s), to your hard disk.
- Navigate to the company file.
- Copy the extension file and copy it to your hard disk
- Now, you are required to make any necessary updates to the backup Company files.
- Copy the Company file you just restored to your original path.
Method 5: Selective startup mode is used to start the system
- Press and ‘Win + R simultaneously.
- Once you have opened the run window, type “MSConfig” then click on the “OK” tab.
- Navigate to the general tab, and click on selective startup or load system services.
- Go to the “service” tab, and click on Hide all Microsoft Services’
- Click on the to disable all options.
- It is important to make sure that the “hide all Microsoft services” is unmarked.
- Mark the checkbook windows installer’.
- Click the OK tab.
To verify that the error code 80, 6000 has been resolved, restart the system.
