Not every MTG card is evil or brings death.
Magic: The Gathering have a lot of different kinds of art on them. The feelings that these cards give off range from scary to hopeful. These cards show scenes that make you feel warm and fuzzy.
Even though these cards may not be the most powerful in the game, their artwork makes me feel strong emotions. In some cases, one card’s art will stand out because it shows a scene that makes you feel good. Sometimes it comes from a reprint, and sometimes it comes from a Secret Lair. These cards make you feel good and give you a warm feeling inside.
Selfless Savior

Selfless Savior is both sad and happy at the same time. Mechanically, it fits with its theme, since Selfless Savior can give up itself to make another creature unkillable. It’s a very good card that got played a fair amount, and every time it was played, the flavor text had to be read.
The flavor text for Selfless Savior says that its owner took care of him since he was a puppy who had lost his parents. To show her how much he cared, he gave up his life to save her as his last act. It’s a very touching story, and even though the dog dies at the end, he lived a life full of love.
Heartwarming Redemption

It’s hard to talk about heartwarming cards without mentioning the only one whose name includes the word “heartwarming.” Heartwarming Redemption was a story spotlight card that happened at the end of War Of The Spark.
Heartwarming Redemption shows Planeswalker Gideon Jura in the afterlife, after he died to save Lilliana at the end of War of the Spark’s climax. Here he can be reunited with the Irregulars, the group he fought alongside in his native Theros for the sake of righting wrongs. The flavor text shows that he had only ever known war every day of his life. But when he met his friends again in the afterlife, he was finally able to feel at peace. Heartwarming Redemption gives one of the saddest Planeswalkers a happy ending, giving him peace at the end of a life of war.
Late To Dinner

Late to Dinner is sometimes played in Pauper in Reanimator decks and other formats. At first glance, the art on the card seems pretty normal, but the flavor text shows a much more sad scene than the art does.
Since Late to Dinner is just a common card from Modern Horizons 2, its flavor text is the only way we know what happened. It shows two friends having a nice dinner together, and one of them is surprised to find out that the other is a ghost. Even though one of them was set in their ways, they still made time to go to their friend’s house for dinner, even though they were late.
Mourning Patrol / Morning Apparition

A double-sided card from Innistrad: Midnight Hunt shows that a soldier’s bond with their dog is so strong that even death can’t break it. Even though the card didn’t do very well in any format, it is the most heartwarming card in an otherwise scary set.
Mourning Patrol dies at some point and comes back as a ghost, which the dog recognizes right away. In the new Morning Apparition, they make fun of the fact that the dog has always been able to see ghosts, but now that they are ghosts, so can they. It shows how strong their bond is, since they are still close even after they have died.
Savor The Moment

Only two copies of Savor The Moment have ever been printed, and the Pride Across The Multiverse Secret Lair print run version is far more heartwarming than the original.
The picture shows the wedding of the guildmasters of the Orzhov Syndicate and the Izzet League, Tomik Vrona and Ral Zarek. There are a lot of other Ravnicans in the background, like Kaya, who was the Orzhov guildmaster before. But their relationship had been known for a long time, but it was kept secret because they were in different guilds. Once everyone knew about it and the War of the Spark was over, they were able to have a real wedding.
Secret Rendezvous

Strixhaven is a magical school with five campuses. Each campus has its own personality and set of values. The flavor text for Secret Rendezvous says that Strixhaven wants the two schools to compete with each other.
But Secret Rendezvous shows that even with these obstacles, the bonds between two students can go beyond what the school puts up. The picture shows a Silverquill student and a Lorehold student meeting up in secret to spend some time together at sunset. It shows that even though the two schools are different, they can still meet up and get to know each other outside of the competition between the schools.
Teferi’s Protection

Teferi’s Protection is one of the best white cards, and it has been printed a lot. Teferi’s Protection is at its most heartwarming in the Secret Lair printing. In the picture, Teferi is holding his young daughter Niambi.
Teferi is one of the oldest Planeswalkers, and he has been all over the Multiverse. Become an American football coach and win Retro Bowl game.
Even though this is the case, Teferi is still a great father. In the flavor text of this printing, he says that Niambi is his universe, which shows how much he cares for her. In Magic’s history, there aren’t many fathers, but Teferi is one of the few and one of the best. This card, Teferi’s Protection, is one of the most heartwarming you can find.
Cathartic Reunion

Cathartic Reunion is one of the most well-known cards that make you feel good. As a red draw card, the card gets played a fair amount in a variety of formats, which helps people remember it.
Cathartic Reunion is about Chandra Nalaar and her mother, Pia Nalaar. They haven’t seen each other in years, but when they finally meet again on their home plane, Chandra thinks Pia is dead. It’s a very heartwarming moment for the two of them, with a lot of emotions coming out.
