Each ticket includes the 2.5-hour train adventure along the Old Garden Highway through historic agricultural land and views of the Sacramento River (gem mining will not be a part of this adventure. Please view the River Fox Train Excursion if you are looking for gem mining)
All seating is pre-assigned. If you would like to be seated with another party, please note it in the ‘additional notes’ section at check out or by calling our reservations number 800-866-1690. Requests must be made at least 48 hours prior to your desired trip.
FOOD OPTION
Lunch is included in the price of the ticket (see below for selections) up to 6 hours prior to departure. Any walk up reservations or those made within 6 hours of departure, you will be limited to those on meals on hand. Mimosas will be available for purchase on board.
Turkey sandwich meal: Turkey and Provolone sandwich, cookie, chips and a water.
Vegetarian sandwich meal: Hoagie roll Sandwich with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, pickle and avocado, cookie, chips, and a water.
Light concession snacks, such as chips, candy, bottled water and soda, will be for sale on the train.
The Picnic Express showcases the train as well as a fun-filled family environment with a picnic. Halfway through the train ride we will stop at our river-side park and de-board so guests can enjoy family friendly events and their picnic!
This family-friendly ride is suitable for all ages so bring the whole family and spend the day relaxing on the rails!
